4 Toronto Traditions to check off your Christmas Bucket List.

Traditions are such a unique and important part of our lives. I, like many others remember the Christmas of my childhood very clearly. Putting the cookies out for Santa, skating at our local arena, and of course attending the Toronto Santa Claus Parade. Toronto is home to many tradition worthy activities. Here is a list of our top 4 things to do in Toronto this Christmas season.

The Nutcracker presented by The National Ballet of Canada: December 9th-30th

The Nutcracker has been a big part of Christmas in Toronto since its first show in 1995. The Nutcracker provides a unique look into Christmas in Russia and the imagination of children. It draws parallel’s between real Christmas traditions and the Christmas fantasies children create. With the Snow Queen and sugar fairies dancing across the stage it is a great way to spend part of the holidays.

The Toronto Christmas Market:  November 16th – December 23rd

The Toronto Christmas market is a staple here in the city. In the heart of the Distillery District a massive Christmas tree is decorated with lights, ornaments, and Christmas flare. The market is filled with fun activities. You can snap a quick picture at the Heart of Christmas, the joy sign, or in front of the grand Christmas tree. You can even sing carols at the elves sing along. With many vendors and pop up activities the Toronto Christmas market is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

We hope that you enjoyed out list! Hopefully you can make it out to some of these events this year and start a Christmas tradition of your own!
